The Lost
By Raltar
Introduction
"It did mean something to me. I suggested 'The Lost' because it felt like that was what we were. We had no leader, no game, no direction and no idea what to do about it. We really were lost."
-A member of the Alchemists Clan said something similar when asked why he suggested a change in name to 'The Lost'
This is the second book of the guild history and I'm going to write it a bit differently than the first. I wrote the first book from a third person perspective some of the time and from a first person perspective some other parts of the time. This confused a lot of people who weren't sure if I was even in the story or not. Besides that reason, I'll be trying to write this entire book in first person perspective for another more important reason. While there was some debate about how certain events unfolded in the first book, I expect there to be much greater debate about the events of this book and for that reason I feel a first person perspective would better serve to demonstrate the fact that the events as they are presented in this book are merely the facts as I know them. Its highly likely that there were other factors involved I didn't know about. Its also even more likely that some of the facts I'm going to present in this book will come as quite a shock to many people. Some of those people may dislike what I have to say so much that they may attempt to get this story removed from the internet or take other drastic action aginst this guild.
Now, at this point there are probably quite a few people reading this who aren't very familar with this guild or with our complicated history who are asking themselves what in the world I could possibly have to say about an internet gaming guild which could generate such drama. For those of you wondering this, you need to keep in mind that this guild has been around for many years and that many "interesting" things have happened to the people who were a part of it. Some of these "interesting" things were actually quite bad. And in the case of the events that this book is going to discuss those "interesting" events resulted in the death of one of the founding members of this guild. And by death, yes, I really do mean that he is no longer breathing, talking to people or playing games on the internet. Hes literally dead and buried. Hes five feet under. He pushing up dasies. Hes... well, hopefully you have the idea. Sorry if it seems that I got a little carried away there but you would be suprised how often people refuse to believe me when I say he is dead. They seem to think its some kind of an analogy or a joke. It isn't. Hes really dead!
Now on the subject of jokes, I had better probably address that here as well. The dead guy in question here is Zion "The Book" Cao Cao, AKA Terence Klugman. If you do a google search for Terence Klugman you will find some other websites on the internet (some of which no longer exist or are no longer updated) that might say a lot of things about him that differ from what is said here. These other websites ARE jokes, should NOT be taken seriously and should be noted that they were made before Terence died. This website is not such a site, it is not a joke and the information contained in this history document (as well as other parts of this site) is meant to be taken seriously. With that said, some of it will be funny anyway. You have my premission to laugh. And if you want to see some of the people who didn't find this document funny, check out Michael Prejean on the villians page.
This book in the guild history will be broken into two parts. The first part will be the dramatic part about Zion, the second will be the less dramatic part about what I was doing while Zion was trying to turn the guild into a "Comedy Website" as well as how I rebuilt the guild after Zion's death. As I suspect that most people reading this will only be interested in one part of the story or the other, I'll give you links to both of them here.
